Stoke High School – Ormiston Academy has adopted the eight Gatsby Benchmarks as its framework for good career guidance, and regularly implements the Compass Self-evaluation Tool to measure its careers provision against these best practice Benchmarks. Based on the most recent DfE data, 94.44% of Stoke High School Year 11 leavers in 2018 were in sustained education, employment or training, in the year after Key Stage 4, compared to the national average of 94%.
The majority of pupils continued into further education (46%) or attended Sixth Form (44%); 4% of pupils went into a sustained apprenticeship destination. 77% of pupils went on to Higher Education and 41% of these students studied at high-tariff universities.
Parents and students in Year 10 can download the form below to forward to potential employers for work experience placements. Once completed, these forms should be returned to firstname.lastname@example.org or posted to Mrs Toogood at the academy.
