Respect, Inspire, Achieve

Ashleigh Hurrell

Ashleigh joined the Academy Board of Governors in October 2018 as our Safeguarding Link Governor.  Ashleigh comes from a background of supporting KS3 and KS4 students with SEND, social, emotional and mental health issues within Nurture group, pastoral care and behavioural management settings.

Her most previous role within Inspire Suffolk saw her supporting post 16 young people who have become NEET (not in employment, education or training).  These young people had often faced difficulties and needed some more support finding what they want to do in life, and where their strengths best lie.  She supported them to ensure they were confident enough to have a positive progression.  Her current role as a Programme Co-ordinator/Tutor for the Prince’s Trust Achieve programme will be to expand this type of provision to all local high schools and PRU’s within Ipswich.

She has a passion for safeguarding and has taken the relevant training to become the Lead Safeguarding Officer for Inspire Suffolk.
