Uniform

We know that parents fully support our efforts to maintain our uniform policy. Outer coats should not be worn in the building, and students are expected to keep these in their lockers.

Jewellery and make-up

Students are permitted to wear single stud earrings and/or a wristwatch. However, body and/or facial piercings are not allowed. No items of jewellery can be worn during PE lessons. The academy cannot accept responsibility for valuable, personal items, including jewellery, brought into the academy.

Girls are asked not to wear make-up which might be considered inappropriate, in the academy. We also ask that hairstyles for both boys and girls are sensible and that hair is not coloured or styled outrageously.

Uniform

• Shirt – white, short or long sleeved, buttoned up to the neck with collar
• Academy tie* – clip on
• Trousers – black, loose-fitting, not cropped and no skirts
• Academy jumper* – optional
• Academy blazer* – black with academy logo
• Shoes – plain black, flat, sensible footwear. No trainers/canvas shoes

PE kit

• Academy PE top*
• Shorts – black
• Tracksuit – plain black (optional)
• Training shoes – for indoor PE, with non-marking soles

Football/rugby

• Football boots with moulded/screw-in studs
• Shin pads

Please mark all uniform and PE kit clearly and carefully with student’s name.
