Examination boards, in conjunction with the Joint Council for Qualifications, have put in place an examinations contingency day for the summer series for 2020.
This contingency day will be used if there is national or local disruption to examinations. The contingency day is Wednesday 24th June 2020. Students must remain available until this date should an examinations board need to invoke this contingency date.
We are therefore recommending that holidays are not taken until after this date, irrespective of when your son/daughter’s last timetabled examination is scheduled for.
Should you have any questions regarding your son/daughter’s upcoming GCSE examinations, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Farthing in the Exams office.
